Bald im Kino: Tideland
Neben MirrorMask kommt bald ein weiterer Film in die Kinos, der ebenso weltfremd wie fantastisch zu sein scheint: Tideland mit Jeff Bridges und Jodelle Ferland.
What has brought the young Jeliza-Rose from Vancouver to a rural Saskatchewan farmhouse? Why is her former rockabilly guitarist father not talking to her anymore? And who is making all that noise in the attic? After the death of her mother, Jeliza-Rose finds herself in the languorous world of summer in the prairies, where reality quickly morphs into fantasy. This is an imaginary world to rival all others, where fireflies have names, bog men awaken at dusk, monster sharks swim down railroad tracks, and the heads of disembodied dolls preside like beauty queens over Jeliza-Rose as she finds adventure, friendship and solace in the unlikeliest of places. Der Film von Terry Gilliam („Fear and Lothing in Las Vegas“) soll noch dieses Jahr bei uns in die Kinos kommen, ein genauer Termin steht noch nicht fest. Dennoch, vormerken!
